Three steps to unlock an iPhone 15, Plus, Pro, and Pro Max

  • 1
Enter your network details and IMEI number

First, you'll need to choose the carrier that your locked iPhone is tied to and the country your SIM was purchased. After this, it's time to enter your IMEI number.

If you aren't sure, you can check your network carrier here. You can also find your IMEI number if you need to.

  • 2
    Make payment

After you make your payment, we immediately process your unlock request remotely. Most iPhone 15 phones take up to 24 hours to unlock.

  • 3
    Enjoy your unlocked phone

You'll receive confirmation via email, but consider your network unlock complete and your iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro, or Pro Max ready to use freely.

After you complete this process, your carrier-locked iPhone will be permanently unlocked. It won't affect your warranty, either, as our unlocking service is carried out by connecting to the Apple database.

Six reasons to unlock iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro, and Pro Max

If you're considering our unlocking service for your device, take a look at some of the benefits you could enjoy with an unlocked iPhone.

You can also check out our guide on how to unlock iPhone carriers.

Easy

Straightforward and quick.

As we've discussed above, it takes just three simple steps to unlock the iPhone 15, any of its variations, and any other iPhone models. It'll take minutes of your time and doesn't affect your warranty, making it straightforward to carry out without any negative ramifications.

Travel

Save money and reduce stress whilst travelling.

If you regularly travel or are just planning a holiday, roaming charges from your carrier can be expensive and put a dampener on your trip. To avoid this, you can swap your original SIM to a new SIM card, opting for a network based in the country you're visiting.

Customization

Enjoy your phone and all its capabilities.

If you're unhappy with your phone service and network in general, unlocking your phone means you can access coverage that's better suited to you.

There are lots of options available throughout the country, with possibilities that work for your specific circumstances. When you unlock your phone, you have the benefit of choice when it comes to finding the best option.

Freedom

Split your time between work and play.

The iPhone 15 and all its variations have dual-SIM card capabilities, so you can enjoy the freedom having two phone numbers can provide. This is particularly useful for business owners who need to access messages and contact details from old and new SIM cards.

Value

Protect your bank account.

Phone contracts can be expensive, to say the least, but you can enjoy your iPhone 15 without being tied down to a pricey deal. Switch to a SIM-only option with better rates and less stringent payment terms, and your phone stays as functional and enjoyable as it should be, but with a lower price tag.

Savings

Peace of mind around selling your phone.

An unlocked iPhone is easier to sell when you want to upgrade. This may be quite far down the line if you have an iPhone 15, but it's still worth thinking about as newer iPhone models are released regularly.

Unlocking can be in addition to other iPhone preserving tactics you use, like using a screen protector and case to protect your device from external damage.

What's an IMEI, and where can I find it?

IMEI stands for International Mobile Equipment Identity. It's essentially a way to identify your cell phone, and it consists of a unique, 15-digit serial number that applies to your phone and your phone only.

IMEI numbers help you or your manufacturer track your phone if it's lost or stolen and every cell phone in the world has its own unique IMEI number. This number is device-dependent, and won't change if you change your SIM card or network carrier.

How to unlock your iPhone 15

No matter your network, be it T Mobile, Verizon, or AT&T, the options are almost limitless when it comes to finding a deal. However, if your iPhone 15 (or any of its variations) are locked to a specific network, you’re missing out.

If you insert a new SIM and you receive the message ‘SIM not supported’, then, unfortunately, your phone is locked. Luckily enough, you can unlock your iPhone in seconds with an IMEI number.

By searching the Apple database (a process known as whitelisting), we locate your IMEI number, and therefore your device, and remove the lock on your phone. All of this happens virtually using Wi-Fi, so there’s no requirement for a code to do it yourself.

Once you’ve unlocked your phone using our service, simply insert your new SIM and you’ll be ready to go.

Can you permanently unlock the iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Pro, and other Apple devices?

Get past the lock screen. Other types of iPhone unlocking

Unlock a disabled iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Pro Max, or iPhone 15 alternative

If you're trying hastily to get into your phone, you can often mistype your passcode several times. Doing this too often will result in your phone becoming disabled and you won't be able to get past the lock screen.

With Mobile Unlocked, you can unlock an iPhone 15 if it's disabled or if you can't access your device features. But how do you do it?

Here's the process broken down into three steps:

  1. First, you'll need to visit our screentime passcode unlocking mechanism.
  2. Next, select 'Screen lock' from the unlocking modes and connect your iPhone to a PC, laptop, or Macbook using a USB cable.
  3. Finally, click 'Remove lock', and your phone will be unlocked to use.

Unlock iPhone 15 with Face ID

These days, most iPhone users have Face ID set up on their devices. This helps you circumvent your passcode and allows you to access your phone's features immediately after merely looking at the screen.

However, issues can arise with Face ID, from your camera being obscured or dirty to your entire face not being completely visible to your camera, as well as wearing sunglasses.

If you can't access your phone using Face ID, you should take a look at our Password Unlock feature. This also helps if you can't get into your phone using Touch ID or your passcode, instead.

Unlock iPhone 15 without a passcode or Apple ID password

You can also gain access to your iPhone 15 if you haven't got your Apple ID password or passcode available. You'll have to restore your device to its factory settings, which means losing access to your data, but the plus side is that you'll still be able to use your iPhone 15.

Be aware, however, that your iPhone must have been synced to iTunes in the past and your PC or computer must have the latest iTunes software downloaded.

Here's how to unlock iPhone 15, and all its variations, without a passcode or Apple ID password:

  1. Turn your device off. Hold the side button and volume down button simultaneously until you see the 'Power off' slide option appear on your screen. Then, slide until your device is powered down.
  2. When it's off, connect the phone to a computer whilst holding the side button.
  3. 'Recovery Mode' will appear on your screen, which means it's time to let go of the button.
  4. Using 'Finder' or 'iTunes', select your iPhone 15, and hit 'Restore'.
  5. When the process is finished, disconnect your phone from your computer and set your phone up from scratch.

Unlock iPhone 15 using iCloud

If you don't have iTunes on your computer or the above methods fail, you can opt for the iCloud approach.

This additional security backup feature remotely erases your iPhone data and content and is primarily used for lost or stolen phones. While this is the case, it's also really helpful if you've forgotten your iPhone passcode and can't get into your phone.

Again, this option will restore your device to its factory settings and you'll need your iCloud account login details and a stable Wi-Fi connection. You'll also have had to have activated 'Find My' at some point in the past and your iPhone 15 needs to be synced with iTunes.

Once you've ticked these boxes, follow these steps:

  1. On another iOS device that has 'Find My' installed, open your web browser.
  2. Log in online using your iCloud details.
  3. Select 'All Devices'.
  4. Find your iPhone 15 on the map and select it.
  5. Click ‘Erase’.

This will delete all your data and act as a total factory reset, like the iTunes approach.

Unlock iPhone 15 FAQs

  • Do I need a carrier unlock code to access a locked iPhone?

No, all you need to unlock an iPhone 15 is your IMEI and our unlocking service unlocks your device remotely thanks to direct access to the manufacturer's database. Once complete, your phone will be permanently unlocked with no carrier code required to complete the process.

  • What's the difference between a disabled iPhone and a SIM-locked iPhone?

If you can't log into your device because of a forgotten passcode, password, or anything else, this is considered a disabled iPhone. It's also disabled if you can't access certain features or accounts for security purposes.

A SIM-locked iPhone, however, is a software lock that's been put in place by your network. Also referred to as a carrier or network lock, a software lock stops you from using your phone with another carrier. It's added during the manufacturing process and can be overcome using our mobile unlocking service.

  • Is unlocking an iPhone illegal?

No, unlocking an iPhone, or any phone for that matter, is completely legal. Your warranty will also be unaffected, regardless of whether or not you're under contract with a specific network. We use the official manufacturer's software to unlock your device, which is absolutely within the law.

  • How long does it take to unlock an iPhone 15?

Whether you have an iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, or an iPhone 15 Plus, the process for unlocking your phone will generally take 24 hours. This applies to any iPhone device when you use the Mobile Unlocked service.

  • Can I track the status of my unlocked iPhone 15?

We offer a live tracking service that keeps you up-to-date throughout the unlock process. You can also bypass this and simply try another SIM card with your iPhone 15. If it's still locked, it won't allow you to access core features like texts or phone calls.

  • Which Apple iOS versions do you unlock?

All of them! Our service extends to every Apple iOS version currently available, including the iPhone 15 and all its variations.

  • What is an MDM lock and can it be done to an iPhone 15?

Standing for Mobile Device Management, MDM is a service used by companies that provide their staff with smartphones and is a way for IT administrators to access your phone remotely. This can be done if the phone is stolen or has gone missing, and they can use this to unlock or delete data from your device.

The technology is in place to protect the company, client information, and the staff member.

It's also not uncommon for restrictions to be put in place using MDM, so staff can't access certain features or functions. MDM can be applied to an iPhone 15 and any other smartphone device and can't be bypassed without entering credentials set by the company and IT administrator.

  • How many failed login attempts does it take to disable an iPhone 15?

If you fail to enter the correct unlock screen passcode six times in a row, your phone will be disabled for one minute.

If you enter the passcode a seventh time, it'll be disabled for an additional five minutes. Your eighth attempt will lock the phone for a further fifteen minutes and ten attempts will disable your phone for one hour.

Any more than this, and your iPhone 15 will be disabled and you'll have to try one of the recovery processes we've detailed above.

  • What is an iCloud backup?

iCloud backup is a saved copy of your iPhone data. It also applies to iPads and other Apple devices, such as Macs. This data includes everything from iMessage to photos, videos, apps purchased and songs downloaded.

Accessing your iCloud backup requires a Wi-Fi connection and your login details. You can log in via a desktop computer or other iOS device.

  • What is an iTunes backup?

An iTunes backup is an alternative to iCloud. It syncs the data on your device when it's connected to a computer. You can restore your data and settings from an iTunes backup if you need to.

  • What is the purpose of recovery mode on iPhones?

iPhone recovery mode helps you wipe your iPhone and reset it. Connecting to a desktop computer is the way you generally access recovery mode and it's often used when you're selling your phone and don't want your data being accessed by whoever buys it. It can also be used if you can't use your device for any reason, from it being disabled or damaged.

If your data is backed up to your iPhone, you can restore settings and data from this backup. If not, you can set it up as a new device.
